Shalom! My name is Ethan Avinoam and I’m the President of Guelph Hillel for the 2017/18 school year. I was born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario and now live in Toronto. I’m entering my fourth and final year at the University of Guelph and I’ve loved every minute, from academics to sports to extracurricular activities. Guelph is one of the most special places I’ve ever had the privilege to spend time in and the people and community as a whole is extremely nurturing and kind. Our Jewish student community at Guelph Hillel has blossomed into a diverse, active group of dedicated young men and women with hearts of gold and a strong commitment to enhancing every aspect of student life on campus. I can’t wait for us to create and share memories that will last a lifetime!
Hey! I’m Riley, a third-year Criminal Justice and Public Policy student at the University of Guelph. I have been involved with Guelph Hillel since I arrived to campus in my first year, and I am so excited to be the Vice President this year! Hillel is a huge part of my life, and has helped me create memories and friendships that have defined my experience as a student here at Guelph. Hillel has also taught me leadership skills and allowed me to contribute to Jewish life on campus. I am extremely dedicated to making Hillel inviting and appealing to the entire Jewish community on campus, and I cannot wait for you to see what we have in store for you this year!
