Toronto, ON – May 24, 2022 – Today, after an intensive global search, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Rabbi Seth Goren has been appointed the next Chief Executive Officer of Hillel Ontario.

Rabbi Goren moved to Toronto in 2017 from Philadelphia to serve as Hillel Ontario’s Chief Education and Campus Officer. Prior to joining Hillel Ontario, he served as the Executive Director of Repair the World – Philadelphia, and before that as the Director of Jewish Student Life at Lehigh University. Rabbi Goren holds a Masters in Linguistics, and a Juris Doctor, both from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently working on his PhD in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. He was also ordained as a rabbi at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in 2007. Rabbi Goren is an alumnus of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship, and a recipient of the Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award from Hillel International.
