Human Services & Community Innovation Intern

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Project support for special initiatives related to vulnerable populations and priority areas such as the settlement of Jewish Ukrainian newcomers, mental health and food security/hunger
  • Coordinating volunteer activities including responding to community member inquiries and connecting individuals to agencies that can assist them, when appropriate
  • Responding to and/or triaging community members inquires and complaints directly when needed
  • Administrative support for grant processes with partner social services agencies
  • Assisting with special events and donor engagement opportunities in the social services sector
  • Administrative support for such as booking meeting venues, send invites, track RSVP’s, preparing meeting materials and taking in-person meeting minutes. Some evening hours may be required.
  • Coordination with marketing and fundraising teams to help create donor-facing content and identify speakers from our network of social services agencies
  • Conduct research and written assignments

Cemetery Grounds Person 

Summer groundskeeping staff needed for Mount Sinai Memorial Park. Duties include the use of trimmers, backpack blowers, rakes, and shovels.  Responsible for general maintenance of the grounds with tasks assigned by supervisor.  Must be able to work with a team and independently.  Positions are suited to students who are recent secondary school graduates or in university or college. This is a full-time summer position, 5 days per week, on a rotating schedule of 5 days between Sundays and Fridays.  Start date:  May 15, 2022.  End date: August 26, 2022

Camp Cooks are responsible for following the directions of the Camp Director, cooking food, and cleaning the cooking area. They are additionally responsible for abiding by and upholding Health Department and OCA health codes for food handling, food preparation and food storage, and for understanding safe food handling for kids with allergies and other food sensitivities.

Program Director (Seasonal)

The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the Program team, oversee and the general scheduling and activities at camp, including big scale camp events.
