ShadowLight & Southern NCSY

Full Time Team Lead Educator

About ShadowLight
The Cattle Car: Stepping In and Out of Darkness is an immersive, 360-degree multimedia exhibit dedicated to educating people about the Holocaust.

Created by young leaders, the exhibit is traveling to over 50 university and high school campuses throughout North America as part of the Hate Ends Now Tour in partnership with Southern NCSY. It aims to preserve the memories of the Holocaust as the number of survivors dwindle and their voices become increasingly muted. The exhibit, which is fully contained inside a full-sized WWII cattle car replica, will help tens of thousands of students learn from the past and make a difference in the present.

With racism and discrimination on the rise and Holocaust education at an all-time low, this exhibit is timely. It is essential that we educate citizens about the terrible consequences of hatred and intolerance. As the world promised over 75 years ago, we must never forget.

  • Give tours of the exhibit
  • Create and provide the whole educational experience for the visitors
  • Provide a pre and post educational tour discussion, encouraging visitors to use critical thinking, and an understanding of social justice, diversity and acceptance.
  • Keep track of groups and make sure everything is running according to schedule

  • Act as Team Lead including organizing the group, giving directions, interacting with stakeholders, answering questions and making problem solving in difficult situations
