The High Holidays are around the corner, so it’s important for you to know how to request an accommodation for a Registrar-Invigilated Final Exam. If you want to avoid having to go to exams or tests on Shabbat or on a Jewish holiday you can fill out a Religious, Indigenous, and Spiritual Observances (RISO) academic accommodation.

We put together a guide to help you complete this process quickly:

Step 1:

Submit a RISO final exam form, at the Registrar’s Office (Gilmour Hall 114) at least ten (10) working days before the start of the exam period.

Step 2:

The Registrar will respond to your request at least five (5) working days before the start of the exam period.

Beware:

Late requests will be attempted by the Registrar’s Office, but you may be referred to your Faculty Office to make arrangements for writing your exam outside of the official exam period.
