McMaster Hillel held its first Brunch and Learn on Oct 3rd, where students had the opportunity to learn more about Sukkot, how it is celebrated around the world and what it means personally to each person. This program was student led by our VP, Education, Rebecca Benjamin where she put together a slide show and invited the group to share our thoughts together. Our Israel Fellow, Ayinadis Darbow, also helped with the program elements and had an amazing closing exercise where we took time to learn about each other and say something that we appreciated about that person, while wishing each other the best for the New Year.
It was a fun opportunity to get together and learn which is something that we don’t do that often outside of our classes, but something we plan to continue in the future! It’s a long stretch to our next holiday but we are looking forward to all the fun things we can do with Hanukkah!
