Enriching the lives of Queen’s Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish community, Israel and the world.
ABOUT QUEEN’S HILLEL
How many Jewish students are there at Queen’s? We don’t have the exact statistic, but we estimate that close to 1,500 out of approximately 24,000 Queen’s students are Jewish.
Queen’s Hillel is the centre for Jewish life on campus. We provide social, educational, and religious opportunities to ensure that there is a vibrant Jewish community at Queen’s University. Queen’s Hillel creates a pluralistic environment in which anyone in the Queen’s community, regardless of denomination or religious belief, can feel comfortable and included. Whether it be one of our eight annual Shabbat dinners, our Holocaust Education Week activities, Israel experience and engagement programs, countless Tzedek initiatives that take us into the greater Kingston community, or our legendary Bar Mitzvah Bash, Queen’s Hillel truly has something for everyone. And if what you’re looking for doesn’t exist yet-we want to help you create it!
Jewski is the group for Russian-speaking Jewish students on campus. It is designed to connect Russian speaking students to each other as well as to the greater Jewish community on campus. Programs range from paid internships, social and cultural programming, “Novyy god” and holiday celebrations as well as an opportunity to participate in our elite J.LEAD Training Program. Once a Jewski, always a Jewski!
