I am so excited to be back at it again for the new school year! Rabbi Julia, Einav and I have been scurrying around, sorting out all the details to make sure we’re as ready as can be for when you’re all back. I hope you had an excellent (maybe even restful?) summer, and that you’re coming back recharged and ready for this year!

Coming up shortly at Hillel UofT is our Allen’s Table Kick-Off! We’re starting our $5 Kosher Dinner program even earlier this year, so stop by on the first Monday of classes for our first Allen’s Table dinner of the year! We’ve got our **cue drumroll please** Block Party coming up during the UofT Street Fest, where we’ll be having a free BBQ, a DIY Corn Bar, Vegan Ice Cream Sundae and a #lit DJ, providing all the cool tunes. We have many exciting opportunities happening in the next few weeks, from free local high holiday tickets and a Bagel Brunch for Frosh to our Israel News & Schmooze, and many, many more! Special for this week: Join me for breakfast on your first day of school, Thursday September 5, 9:00-11:00am! Free cereal, fruit, and good cheer to start your year with a bang. Speaking of food, we are launching a campaign for UofT to bring kosher food to campus. Will you sign our letter in support?

Last, but definitely not least, we wanted to remind you of who the staff are at Hillel UofT! Introducing…. Rabbi Julia! Rabbi Julia, a Boston native,  enjoys cooking, singing in bands, weight-lifting, and going on adventures with her kids. Next, we’ve got our brilliant Israel Fellow, Einav. A Kibbutz native with a propensity for city life, Einav loves wandering around Toronto and exploring new places. And as a recent grad myself, I love being back on campus! I like to stay active and am always looking for squash buddies. Hillel UofT is located in the Wolfond Centre at 36 Harbord St. Come in and say hi to us any day of the week- we’ve got plenty of coffee and snacks to share!
