ABOUT HILLEL UofT

Hillel UofT is here to help you create your Jewish life on campus. We strive to reflect the diversity of UofT’s vibrant Jewish campus community, representing all majors, denominations, ethnicities, sexual orientations and gender expressions, and backgrounds.

Our programming reflects this diversity because it is created by you, the students — whether it be a Chanukah klezmer lunch, a LGBTQ panel, interfaith discussions, games nights, social action fundraisers, and more. Educational opportunities are for students of all backgrounds.

Hillel welcomes UofT students for monthly large Shabbat dinners, plus smaller Shabbat potlucks. We host Rosh Hashanah dinner and holiday meals, learning, and celebrations throughout the year. We also offer Seder matching and High Holiday tickets to local synagogues.

Centrally located on St. George campus, our space can be your home away from home. With a living room for hanging out, a board room for study groups or quiet work, a work table with free printing, and abundant snacks and gourmet coffee and tea, there’s always something for you. Join us for kosher $5 dinner at Allen’s Table, Monday through Thursday from 5:00pm-7:00pm during the school year.

Our staff are here for you, whether you want to talk about career paths, Jewish questions, ways to study abroad, antisemitism, community life, or finding your way through the labyrinth of UofT’s student resources. We are also happy to connect you with students with similar interests. Let’s get together!

Jewski

Jewski is the group for Russian-speaking Jewish students on campus. It is designed to connect Russian speaking students to each other as well as to the greater Jewish community on campus. Programs range from paid internships, social and cultural programming, “Novyy god” and holiday celebrations as well as an opportunity to participate in our elite J.LEAD Training Program. Once a Jewski, always a Jewski!
