Enriching the lives of Waterloo’s Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish community, Israel and the world.
ABOUT HILLEL WATERLOO
Hillel Waterloo provides Jewish students at the University of Waterloo the opportunity to learn, explore, and celebrate Jewish life, culture, and heritage. We offer programs created by students for students to engage them in the most meaningful experiences. Whether your interests lie in Jewish Life and Education, Tzedek and Social Action, Arts and Culture, Athletics, Israel, Leadership Development or anything in between, opportunities for involvement exist through Hillel Waterloo.
We love meeting new people and seeing new faces! Student leaders work passionately on educational, religious and social programming, including signature events like our Booze and Shmooze, Shabbat dinners and Holocaust Education Week. We invite you to check out all of our events and be in touch if there’s something YOU want to see on campus.
Jewski is the group for Russian-speaking Jewish students on campus. It is designed to connect Russian speaking students to each other as well as to the greater Jewish community on campus. Programs range from paid internships, social and cultural programming, “Novyy god” and holiday celebrations as well as an opportunity to participate in our elite J.LEAD Training Program. Once a Jewski, always a Jewski!
