Enriching the lives of York’s Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish community, Israel and the world.
ABOUT HILLEL YORK
Hillel York is the centre of Jewish life at York University. With a large and diverse Jewish population at York U, Hillel York provides unique opportunities for students to explore their own Jewish identity through student-centric programming. Whether your interests lie in Jewish life and education, tzedek and social action, arts and culture, athletics, Israel, leadership development or anything in between, the opportunities for engagement are endless!
We are excited to offer the Jewish Learning Fellowship and the Israel Learning Fellowship both in the fall and winter semesters this year. Registration links and session dates can be found on our social media, so make sure you follow us on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.
Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC)
Hillel is very fortunate to partner with the Orthodox Union-Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (OU-JLIC). JLIC strives to engage and educate Jewish students from varied backgrounds on campus by providing avenues for spiritual development and exploration. By placing warm, friendly, and talented educators on campus, JLIC inspires young adults to take ownership and responsibility for their Jewish lives and Jewish communities. JLIC provides regular classes on a wide variety of topics both on and off campus, hosts social events throughout the year, and has a weekly minyan at the BAYT.
For more information about JLIC, please contact Rabbi Aaron Greenberg at email@example.com
Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF)
Explore Jewish ideas and how they relate to you through an internationally acclaimed learning fellowship experience. A unique and creative approach to learning brings together students from all backgrounds to explore topics in a meaningful way regardless of previous Jewish educational experiences.
