Student Engagement and Social Media Coordinator (Part-Time)
Position Overview:
The Student Engagement and Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy for Hillel UofT, with a focus on engaging students through the creation of short-form video content. This individual will work closely with the Hillel team to develop and execute creative campaigns and initiatives that drive student involvement and interest in Hillel programs and events. The coordinator will also be responsible for facilitating one-on-one, in-person student engagement. This may include organizing and leading small group discussions or activities, as well as working with individual students to connect them with resources and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a social media strategy for Hillel UofT, with a focus on engaging students through the creation of images and short-form videos
- Collaborate with the Hillel team to develop and execute creative campaigns and initiatives that drive student involvement and interest in Hillel programs and events
- Manage and analyze the performance of social media channels, including Instagram and TikTok to ensure maximum reach and engagement
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all platforms
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to the social media strategy as needed
- Facilitate one-on-one, in-person student engagement through the organization and execution of small group discussions and activities
- Work with individual students to connect them with resources and support, as needed
- Attend and participate in Hillel events and programs, both in-person and virtual, to facilitate student involvement and engagement
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their background or beliefs
Qualifications:
- Experience in social content creation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and connect with students on a personal level
- Proficiency in social media platforms and tools
- Experience with analytics tools and data analysis
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for engaging with and supporting students
